Accreditation for a Better World

On behalf of the Accreditation Body of Iranian Association of Clinical Laboratory Doctors (IACLD), we are pleased to announce and welcome the launch of the new website of the Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated (Global ACI), along with its official logo.

The establishment of this new cooperation represents a transformation in the global accreditation system—an evolution that integrates the work of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) under one unified organisation —ensuring one organisation, one governance framework, and one Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MRA).

At the core of this transformation is the Global ACI MRA, which enables the global acceptance of accredited conformity assessment results. This mechanism creates a clear and effective pathway for mutual recognition, reduces duplication, and strengthens confidence in accreditation outcomes at national and international level.

For the global conformity assessment community—including conformity assessment bodies and other stakeholders—this development marks the beginning of a new era of greater alignment, strengthened trust, and global recognition.

The IACLD Accreditation Body is honored to be a Full Recognized Accreditation Body under Global ACI , contributing and operating within the global MRA framework, ensuring that accredited results are internationally accepted and trusted.

The IACLD Accreditation Body also takes this opportunity to express its sincere appreciation to all its accredited medical laboratories as accredited conformity assessment bodies, valued staff members, assessors, experts, and all esteemed stakeholders. Their continuous efforts, professionalism, and commitment have played a fundamental role in the achievements of the IACLD Accreditation Body and its distinguished standing at both national and global levels within the accreditation community. This global achievement is the result of our sustained success in close collaboration with our related bodies, stakeholders, as well as our international partners.

It is also noteworthy that the launch of the new official website (www.global-aci.org) enhances transparency and access to up-to-date information. It serves as a central hub for membership, updated documents, MRA-related information, and global interactions, and is supported through official communication channels and social media networks to facilitate access to the latest developments.

One of the new initiatives of this Cooperation is the establishment of links on its own website that direct visitors to the relevant pages on each accreditation body’s website, where all information related to accredited conformity assessment bodies, including accredited laboratories, is fully published and made available.

This mechanism provides accreditation bodies with an opportunity to present the complete names and details of their accredited laboratories to the global community in a transparent and comprehensive manner.

At the same time, it helps prevent misuse by opportunistic actors who falsely present themselves as accreditation bodies and generate illegitimate income through misleading promotion.

This measure, introduced by the newly established Global ACI, is designed to address such practices and to enhance transparency, credibility, and trust in the accreditation system.

The IACLD reaffirms its full commitment to this global vision and its cooperation with Global ACI and all partners in building an integrated, transparent, and forward-looking accreditation ecosystem.
